The Power Of Testimony
SHARING STORIES OF GOD’S GLORY
What We Do
Capture testimonies of those who follow Christ and have encountered him in personal ways. Testimonies are captured on video and shared online for God’s glory to be seen.
Encourage individuals to share their testimonies. We do this through in person events with churches, smalls groups and in public spaces around the United States.
Support missionaries and Christ based organizations by producing video assets for them to share with their supporters and their community.
Why We Do It
1). We support the continuation of documentation of what God is doing (Luke 1:1-4).
2). We use testimonies to overcome the accusations of the Devil (Rev 12:10-12).
3). We share the miraculous for the purpose of belief (Matt 11:1-4).
4). We capture stories to build an altar pointing to God’s faithfulness for current and future generations (Joshua 4:19-24).
What Is A Testimony?
An encounter with God that points people to his glory, that is, who he is and what he does. Examples of this are stories about:
Provision
Healing
Answered Prayers
Deliverance
Divine Appointments
Freedom
Salvation
Washing Feet In India
This is Cole. A typical Christian young adult that works at Costco. He felt called to go to India. This would be his first mission trip and even his first time on a plane!
Share Your Story
Question: Recall a time that you served someone or you were served by someone. How was Christ’s love portrayed & received in that moment?
Prayer Exercise:Take 2 minutes to pray. Ask God who he is calling you to serve this week? How is he saying to serve them? Write it down.
Discuss: Each person share what they heard in prayer.
Go & Do: Find time to serve them this week and report back to someone in your group next week on your testimony of this experience.
It’s All About You, Isn’t It?
Tom built a life around his career in Corporate America. He was looking for peace and thought he would find it through success until he encountered Christ and found peace in him. This is his story of stepping out of his comfort zone to serve.
Share Your Story
Question: When was a time you were resistant or offended by something and God interrupted to call you in deeper? (i.e. a sermon, worship time, outreach/serving.
Prayer Exercise: Take 2 minutes to pray. Ask God what you are offended by? What are you resistant to?
Discuss: Share what the Lord said and what you will do to push through your offense or resistance. Help each other come up with a practical step.
Go & Do: Take your step this week. Share your testimony of what the Lord did through you and in you with a group member next Sunday.
